About Dr. Schlagintweit
Dr. Stefan Schlagintweit is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who received his undergraduate training and medical school education at the University of British Columbia between 1974 and 1981. He completed a five year specialist program in Plastic Surgery at Vancouver General Hospital between 1982 and 1987.
Dr. Schlagintweit was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Plastic Surgeons of Canada in 1988 after successfully completing the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons examinations in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Schlagintweit practised plastic surgery in Vancouver from 1987 until 1990. In January, 1990, he relocated his office to Abbotsford, B.C. to become the Fraser Valley's first Plastic Surgeon. At that time, his practice consisted of General Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. It included seeing elective and cosmetic surgery patients as well as providing emergency coverage for victims of trauma as applicable to plastic and hand surgery.
Since January 1, 2008, Dr. Schlagintweit has been specializing solely in Cosmetic Surgery. His surgeries are performed at South Fraser Surgical Centre, which is a fully accredited Level III anaesthesia clinic and is conveniently located adjacent to his office in Abbotsford, B.C.
