1. How much does it cost for a consultation?
The fee for a consultation is $75.00. Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
2. How long is the consultation?
Cconsultations take approximately 30-45 minutes. Multiple procedures require additional time for discussion.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
3. How long do I have to wait for a consultation?
Consultations are booked within 2 to 3 weeks of your telephone call.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
4. How much does it cost to have surgery?
Most procedures have a fixed price;however, the price of some surgeries may vary depending on the needs of the patient. At the time of your consultation, Dr. Schlagintweit will give you a quote outlining exactly how much your surgery will cost.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
5. How long do I have to wait for surgery?
Cosmetic surgeries are booked within 2 to 3 weeks following your consultation.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
6. How long after the surgery before I can return to work?
The recovery time varies from surgery to surgery. Frequently, the type of occupation a patient has will determine how long they will need to be away from work.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
7. How do I pay for my surgery?
Payment may be made by cash, certified cheque, bank draft, money order or debit. For patients wishing to use their debit cards, it will be necessary for them to contact their financial institution and advise them of their upcoming purchase in order that the credit limit can be raised for the payment date. Also, financing is available from Medicard and Travelers Financial, both of which companies specialize in loans for cosmetic procedures. Click the financing link to your left for more information on Medicard and Travelers or to fill out the online application to get pre-approval for your surgery. 
 
8. When do I have to pay for my surgery?
Payment in full is required 2 weeks prior to the date of your surgery. If you are unable to proceed with your surgery following payment because of a medical or legal emergency, payment will be refunded.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
9. Do you have before and after pictures?

10. Can I speak to other patients who have had surgery?
Yes and this is frequently encouraged.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
11. Where do I go to have the surgery?
Procedures requiring local anaesthetic only are performed in the Boardwalk Surgery Centre in Abbotsford. Procedures requiring general anaesthetic are performed in the South Fraser Surgical Centre also located in Abbotsford. Should patients require an overnight stay, those arrangements can be made at South Fraser Surgical Centre for an additional fee.
 
12. Can I drive myself home after the surgery?
No. You will need to have an escort (someone over the age of 19 years) with you who will drive you home.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
13. Will the surgery hurt?
Surgery can be somewhat painful, but this will be controlled with medication.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
14. What are your office hours?
Our office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
15. When are surgery days?
Surgery days vary each week in order to accommodate the various needs of our patients. As a general rule, no surgeries are booked on Mondays or Fridays unless no other time is available.
16. Is surgery safe?
As with any surgery, there are always risks involved but thousands of cosmetic procedures are performed safely every day.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
17. Can I breast feed my children if I have a breast augmentation?
In the majority of cases, this is not a problem.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
18. Do I have to lose weight before I have my tummy tuck?
It is recommended that you have a stable weight before undergoing an abdominoplasty. A tummy tuck is not a procedure to achieve weight loss but rather offers correction of excess skin and fat in the abdominal region.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
