- Do you have before and after pictures?
Out of consideration for the confidentiality of our patients we do not publish before and after pictures on our website. We would be happy to show representative before and after pictures at the time of your private consultation.
- Can I speak to other patients who have had surgery?
Yes, we can organize for you to make contact with patients who have undergone similar surgical procedures.
- Where do I go to have the surgery?
Procedures requiring general anaesthetic are performed in the South Fraser Surgical Centre also located in Abbotsford. Should patients require an overnight stay, those arrangements can be made at South Fraser Surgical Centre for an additional fee. Procedures requiring local anaesthetic only are performed in the office in Abbotsford.
- Can I drive myself home after the surgery?
No. You will need to have an escort (someone over the age of 19 years) with you who will drive you home.
- Will the surgery hurt?
Surgery can be somewhat painful, but this will be controlled with medication.
- What are your office hours?
Our office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- When are surgery days?
Surgery days vary each week in order to accommodate the various needs of our patients. As a general rule, no surgeries are booked on Mondays or Fridays unless no other time is available.
- Is surgery safe?
Dr Schlagintweit will discuss the risks and complications of the specific cosmetic procedure you are considering during your private consultation.
- Can I breast feed my children if I have a breast augmentation?
In the majority of cases, this is not a problem.
- Do I have to lose weight before I have my tummy tuck?
It is recommended that you have a stable weight before undergoing an abdominoplasty. A tummy tuck is not a procedure to achieve weight loss but rather offers correction of excess skin and fat in the abdominal region.
