Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

The arm lift is used to remove excess skin and fat from the upper arm. This procedure makes use of an incision and is often used in conjunction with liposuction. Excessive skin is trimmed away and the skin is pulled together to provide a pleasing arm shape. This operation is frequently done in individuals who have had massive weight loss and have developed extensive tissue laxity in the upper arms. This operation can be combined with liposuction to the area, or occasionally, liposuction alone (without skin excision) can be effective.

This operation is done under general anaesthesia and recovery is in the area of 3 – 4 weeks.
